Big city of Bern

Trains might be my new favorite way to travel.

Car from Briancon to Oulx, Italy. Train from Oulx, to Turin, to Milan, to Bern. Welcomed with open arms by Nicole, Nat, Cora and Tanner!

Train from Milan to Bern, through Thun, Switzerland.

Train from Bern to Interlaken. Switzerland is so small!
6 years ago some friends and I landed in the same field.

Thanks to Nicole and Cora for coming on this adventure. Traveling with a 15 month old is not easy but Nicole makes it work!
Cora and Tanner

Bern, Switzerland just above where Nicole and company live.

Please drive slowly. Watch out for frogs!

Believe it or not the spiral staircase in the picture the left if for cats. They are all over Bern.

Bern. I think this city is underrated.

These funiculars go up and downhill for about one street block. And people love them!

  Switzerland National Bank.

I always wondered why Switzerland's abbreviation was CH.

Just a one hour train ride from Bern.....

The 45 minute tram ride from Gindelwald to the ski station was totally worth it.

The Eiger,  Mönch and Jungfrau
North face of the Eiger

Lauterbrunnen downhill

Wengen

Back to Bern to check out the rest of the city.

Arcaded Streets and Einstein's house.

I decided to take the train a different way home.

*Note to self, buy a ski bag with wheels. This thing did not travel well.

 Train photos!

Lausanne

Home Sweet Home!
